Calvin CRC is governed by a church council – the pastor and members of the congregation who are elected for a three-year term, either as elders or deacons. The council oversees the administration of the church property, the facilities, and the programs of the church.

Consistory

The pastor and all the elders form the consistory. The elders supervise the work of the pastor and together they are responsible for facilitating the spiritual growth of the congregation.

Diaconate

The deacons are responsible for the gathering and distribution of the gifts of the congregation for works of mercy and outreach, both in the local community and in cooperation with various denominational agencies. Deacons also encourage the congregation in stewardly use of their resources and offer assistance to families in financial needs.
